About Me
Hi, I’m Lily. I am a bird lover, and owner of one teenaged cockatoo. I love him- he is the light of my life! I know firsthand how difficult it is to find people who I trust to care for him. Therefore, I was inspired to help other bird lovers with pet care when they travel. I have a full-time remote job, and my cockatoo lives with my mom, therefore I am able to travel the world, bird to bird. I am willing to care for your birdies no matter where they live!
I grew up on what I call a farm- my mom loved fostering animals so we had lots of rescued animals ranging across many species. I have also rescued animals directly, including wild ducklings and abandoned kittens. Growing up, my best friends were my tabby cat named Ruby and my house duck named Claire. Claire wore a diaper and lived inside! I can't imagine a life without animals. I have been vegetarian since 2008 and vegan since 2014. I’ve committed my life to helping animals, be they domestic, farmed, or wild. I’m lucky enough that it’s easy for me to be vegan but I know that not everyone can do so- I don’t have a problem feeding your animals meat.
I have been caring for animals my whole life, but I started doing so seriously in 2023. I am comfortable administering medicine including pills and injections. I have taken care of farm animals as large as horses and as small as baby chicks. Of course, I love household pets such as cats and dogs, but I prefer working with birds when possible. I have cared for African grays, conures, cockatiels, lovebirds, a macaw, and a Senegal Parrot- cockatoos as well, of course. I also have experience in caring for fowl, including chickens, ducks, and geese.
